Surfing ToursThe southern tip of the Baja peninsula offers world class surfing. There are many different kinds of wave action in the area. With cobblestone points, left and right rock reefs, sandy bottom beach breaks, and right point after right point along the East Cape. There are over 19 different surfing spots within a reasonable driving distance. Our goal at Cabo Extreme is to get you to the best waves and, checking spots like monuments, the rock, zippers, shipwreck, and nine palms for that perfect wave. Taking a guided surfing tour you will learn first hand surf-tips for each break, such as paddle out spot, take-off zone, tides and current direction as well as hidden dangers like submerged rocks etc. Thus making guided tours the safest way to surf Cabo San Lucas and the surrounding area. Our Cabo Extreme surfing tours are very unique and they are catered to your needs and abilities. We offer three different surfing packages.1. Surf Surfaris This tour is for the beginner to the advanced surfer looking to score the best surf. The surfboards are provided and your Cabo Extreme guide briefs you on the current swell and weather conditions. His knowledge of the surf in this area gives you the best opportunity to catch good waves. The winter months (Oct-May) generate more westerly swell, making the pacific side or west side breaks like 91X, ledges, cerritos, and san pedrito the spots to check. Summer months (June-Sept) provide southern hemisphere swells with an occasional hurricane (cubasco) that can provide excellent surf in the east cape region at spots like the rock, zippers, shipwrecks and punta perfecta. Surf Surfaris leave early in the morning directly from the surf-camp and are priced according to distance traveled. 2. Beginner Surf Lessons Cabo Extreme surfing lessons for the first time surfer and our goal is to get you up and riding waves on your first day. Learning to surf is challenging, fun and very exciting. For first time surfers we have a special tour designed for you. It is a short scenic drive on Baja's hwy 1 to playa los cerritos a sandy bottom beach break with nice and slow long board style waves just perfect for the beginner surfer. You will receive a break-through course on the basic fundamentals of surfing by an experienced surf instructor. The thrill of riding a wave for the first time is an unforgettable memory, just ask any surfer. Surfing Lessons $50 an hour. All ages. 3. Left Point Surfing Camp-out 3 days and 2 nights tent camping trip with food, drink and gear provided by Cabo Extreme. Come camping on the beach at the best left point in Baja with over 300 yard long waves for three days and two nights of surfing, fishing and snorkeling. Our base camp (tent city) is fully equipped, we provide everything you need to have a comfortable camping environment. Dome tents with sleeping bags, blankets, and pillows are where you will be sleeping. Cabo Extreme provides your water, beverages and your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast will consist of eggs, bacon, french toast, fruit, coffee, and juice. Lunch consists of fruit, sandwiches, tortillas, beans and rice. The dinners consist of chicken fajitas, carne asada, or fish tacos, with rice and beans or dinner may consist of the day's fish, lobster, or oyster catch. Aside form surfing the left point all day you will want to explore the small tide pools with snorkeling gear and a Hawaiian sling looking for that lobster dinner (yum yum). There is a three person Ocean kayak on which you can fish. The ocean life in this area is alive with hundreds of different kinds of fish. Fishing on a kayak is not about if you catch a fish, it is about what kind of fish you will catch. We also fish the coves at night from shore catching barred pargo, and surf perch on nearly every cast. Take a relaxing stroll along the six-mile long beach for some of the best seashell collecting on any coastline. With Cabo Extreme providing everything you need (food, drinks, and camping gear) it is just up to you to show up and surf, surf, surf. Recommended items: Your favorite surfboard(s) and one board bag, swim wear, clothing for cold nights and warm days, cameras. |
